Tansi! I'm Pearl Martin, the artist and maker behind Beading is in My Blood.

Every piece of jewelry you see in my shop is handmade by me. Beading is more than just a craft—it's in my blood, passed down through generations of Indigenous artistry and tradition. Each bead is carefully selected and placed with intention, creating unique pieces that carry the spirit of our culture.

Designed with Pride

I also design all the clothing you see here, including the Real Deadly Aunty and Real Deadly Kokum collections. More design ideas are flowing! These designs celebrate the strong Indigenous women in our lives—the aunties, and Kokum matriarchs who hold our families and communities together with their strength, wisdom, and unconditional love.

My Mission

Through my work, I aim to honor my Indigenous heritage, celebrate our culture, and create beautiful pieces that allow others to wear their pride. Whether it's a handcrafted piece of jewelry or a hoodie celebrating our Real Deadly women, each item is made with care, respect, and love for our traditions.
